With Amazing Agent Luna Vol. 2 making its grand debut this July, Gomanga.com caught up with Nunzio DeFilippis, Christina Weir and Shiei for an insightful look at the upcoming volume and what has changed since volume one!

aal is probably one of my favorite manga's, nd i've been waitin since the first one for the second one to some out! gah!, it's so painful!
i wish they wouldn't come out so far apart......
anyways, the interview was helpful, and i'm glad they attached a couple of pages. i really like the chibi faces!

It takes quite a while to produce the series since we're making them scratch. ^_-

OMG pirates!! i love pirates lol cant wait, AND its a girl ... my dreams come true? i can only hope it involves magic and sea monsters hahaha

and the panel with luna hugging control is adroable, that first one from the left she looks like plum from Chobits

I love the look Luna gives in the panel two before she hugs control.

That is cool too about the pirates idea and that also sounds like an awesome plot! Now I am even more eager for more information on DESTINY'S HAND was it called? LOL

What interests me more are the talks of a love story, Luna falling out with Francesca, and...

*dun dun dun*

... sexual themes. That's already added a new level of depth to a manga I presumed was going to be much less serious (considering the slightly comical fight scene between Luna and Von Brocken + guards in the beginning). Now I'm intrigued...

thats going to add to the maturity of the story i think lol, might earn it a higher age rating too teen maybe?

Actually, it's currently rated Teen. The reason I asked that particular question of Christina and Nunzio was due in part by this particular review grasping to understand the "Teen" rating the book carries. Basically, the writers want to be able to build to some teen-centric themes without having to dumb down the narrative to fit the a younger rating.

well it will earn that teen rating (forgot about article, i read it lol )

That is interesting and I did notice that too, I was slightly in awe over the idea of the new title, Destiny's Hand. The story of the Pirates and the teenaged female "Number One" having to take over for her Captian with a crew who is not always being thrilled with the idea of following that young of a female commanding officer, even if it is to find treasure.

That said I missed the part the first time through of Luna falling out with Francesca but I think it might be guessable what it could be over, having seen her, Francesca's reaction to "test tube babies". That said they might fall out but I get this feeling they are a two friends that will be friends even if they have a slight falling out in the short run.

I think it is also interesting that the sexual themes and discussions, which I thought were suppose to be between Luna and Francesca, or did I miss read that? Also that those themes might not automatically involve Luna and Jonah but might Luna and Oliver or a third yet to be named character.

This seals it for me. Luna 2 must be bought. The sneakpeeks look awesome, as so do the storyline spoilers.

im definetely gonna buy vol2 of Aoi/Lasthope/ and Luna

*dies* The wait is killing me!! I always come by here and look at the page to see if its in stores yet and it still says, 'July 2005' I'm going to self-conbust!!!!!!! :dizzzy2: Waaaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!!! And the hugging Control and the seen with Oliver and Luna and the Family Week... :O_o:
